Dan Bartell formed Bartell & Company in 1982 after growing up in the family real estate development and operation business. His extensive experience in development, construction, property, asset management, leasing, and disposition quickly led to a reputation for complex problem solving and to a diverse clientele. He was recently joined by Dan Meitus, who handles all aspects of asset and property management for the company, including operations, vendor relationships, and general property maintenance. Both Dan Bartell and Dan Meitus are involved in lease negotiations and building marketing to ensure that clients benefit from their expertise in these areas.
Highlights of Bartell & Company’s recent history include the following transactions:
- Brought occupancy at 90 Madison Plaza in Cherry Creek from 23% to 90% in 14 months and maintained it at 90% and above for four consecutive years. The client was Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, a division of the US Government, and their consultants, Karsten Realty Advisors.
- Leased 143,000 s.f. of Corporate Center 25 (formerly Cypress Minerals) to a single user, AT&T Merlin Hotline Systems, in a 12-month timeframe after supervising a complete renovation and marketing plan for the lobby and conference area. The assignment was at the request of Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and their advisor, Karsten Realty Advisors.
- Acted as court appointed receiver for 2437 South Federal Boulevard, Berkshire Apartments, a 24-unit apartment complex for Commercial Federal Savings.
- Acted as court appointed receiver for Commercial Federal Savings’ 66-unit apartment complex at 70 Garden Center, Broomfield.
- Served as court appointed receiver for the King Soopers anchored shopping center at Quincy and Buckley, Aurora, at the request of Crossland Savings (Salt Lake City). Duties included asset management, leasing, and ultimately sale of the retail center.
